| Proficlear Filters
The new Oase Proficlear filter range is a
modular, highly configurable and expandable filter system designed to
cope with
the largest and most demanding ponds. It can be used as a pumped or gravity fed
system
All modules include pipe fittings and drain with fitted slide valve.
Module 1 Pump Chamber
The Oase Proficlear module 1 features 2 inlets (bottom drain and skimmer) if being
used with pump fed system or will connect as the last chamber in a gravity
system.
Module 2 Coarse debris extractor
The Oase Proficlear module 2 removes solids down to 300 microns thus protecting the
rest of the system from debris and extending time between cleaning.
Module 3 Filter Foam
The Oase Proficlear module 3 provides second
stage mechanical and first stage aerobic biological filtration ensuring the safe
decomposition of ammonia and nitrite by utilising the large surface area of the
coarse and fine foams. The foams can be cleaned by compressing them in situe
with the cleaning handles. This makes the job quicker, easier and cleaner than
traditional systems and is much safer for the bacteria that do the filtering.
The waste water is then drained by opening the slide valve. There are
connections on this chamber for additional aeration.
Module 4 Bioballs
The Oase Proficlear module 4 provides a second
stage of aerobic biological filtration. The bioballs are freely rotating
in the water flow to ensure maximum utilisation of the massive surface area and
to keep them maintenance free. There are connections for additional aeration and
any fine sediment can be flushed to waste via the slide valve.
Module 5 Phosphate binder
The Oase Proficlear module 5 provides
anaerobic de-nitrification and phosphate removal. Most of the water is passed
through filter foams where it is starved of oxygen. This process will convert
Nitrate into Nitrogen gas by utilising anaerobic bacteria. Careful flow
channeling ensures that the foams do not clog and are virtually maintenance
free. A small proportion of the water is channeled through Phosless inserts
which remove phosphate from the water. Nitrate and phosphate are the main causes
of excess algae in the pond.
The maximum flow through these filter modules should be 12,500 litres per hour. When using on large ponds or when a high flow rate is required the sets of modules should be arranged in parallel therefore doubling the maximum flow rate. There is no maximum for the amount of modules that can be used or the number of parallel rows.
